And as a business owner I'm obsessed with the impact that a business book can have.
Why? Because I remember the stress of unpredictable revenue and endless networking. I used to dread leaving my family to go network with strangers in the hope of drumming up a few leads. Endless meetings that went nowhere. It was painful.
But that all changed when I wrote my book.
High-quality clients started coming to me on autopilot. I didn't have to sell because they were already sold on my expertise. Conversion rates soared. Revenue became predictable, and I was able to build and then sell my business.
My book gave me back my sanity. As the authority in my space, I could finally charge what I was worth. And that increase in revenue meant I had breathing room to spend time with my son...take those naps...go on holiday. And I want that for you too.
The beauty of a book - most people never write one. You've got one over your competition immediately. You become the authority in your niche.
Now I never said I wasn't competitive...😜

My Story
Back in 2013 I was frustrated. Frustrated about how inaccessible legal services were to most. It wasn't OK. Everyone deserves access to legal support. So, in 2013 my dream was to build a startup that allowed people access to affordable, fixed fee lawyers.
Later that year Legally Yours was born. I loved it. Clients loved it. But as with many new startups, I struggled to get traction. With unpredictable revenue I needed eyes on my business, and fast. I knew a business book was one of the best ways to stand out as the authority in my niche, so that's what I was going to do.
I was determined to write my book, but as a type A personality, I desperately needed someone to tell me 'do this...then this...not this'.
I googled, read blogs, watched YouTube videos...and still I didn't have the answers I needed.
So, I figured it out, bit by bit.
Over time I developed an easy-to-follow blueprint that anyone can use to write a great business book quickly - because hey - you have a business to run and a life to live!
That same blueprint got me a book deal and with that book came eyes on my business. A lot of eyes. Suddenly I started hitting $20k months.
It was like a lead magnet on steroids! Leads were coming to me pre-sold, ready to pay premium pricing.
I was then able to scale and sell my startup, which gave me back some freedom.
What I'm most proud of about selling that business is not the money or the impact I get to have in the world. Rather, it's the freedom it has afforded me to have a life aligned with my values, which predominately circle around my family and friends.
And that's why I love teaching business owners and entrepreneurs how to write their book, without the stress, without the overwhelm and without that niggling imposter syndrome. So they too can unlock their potential, become the authority and live the life they desire.
